Senior Audit Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Internal Audit professional to lead the end-to-end delivery of audits and ad-hoc tasks. This role is responsible for ensuring that all work is executed efficiently, meets high quality standards, and aligns with the organisation’s strategic objectives, internal policies, and regulatory obligations.

The successful candidate will coordinate audit project teams, review workpapers for clarity and accuracy, and maintain strong relationships with process owners to gain valuable insights into operational effectiveness. Leveraging strong commercial acumen and best practices, they will provide expert guidance to the business to enhance risk management, internal controls, and overall process improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of audits and ad-hoc tasks, ensuring timely execution, high quality, and alignment with strategic objectives, internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate the audit project team, review audit workpapers to ensure clarity and accuracy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with process owners, gaining insights into operations
  • Offer expert guidance to the business on enhancing risk management, internal controls and processes based on the sound commercial knowledge and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of the annual audit plan through risk assessments, business insights, and alignment with strategic objectives

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, or consultancy, ideally within the Energy sector, covering Gas/Power/LNG trading processes
  • Strong understanding of internal controls frameworks and risk management principles
  • Basic knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and Data Analytics
  • Proven track of leading audit engagements
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent
