Join SEFE as our Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy in the Netherlands. You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory and license obligations while turning regulatory changes into commercial opportunities for growth and innovation.
You’ll build influential relationships with regulators, represent SEFE in key industry forums, and guide decisions that unlock new markets and products. You’ll keep stakeholders are well-informed on regulatory developments, enabling smart decision making and compliance. Working closely with commercial and sales teams, you’ll identify opportunities to maximise regulatory changes to achieve growth.
You’ll also provide support in the contractual implementation of new products and will work with operational teams to maintain standard contracts and terms and conditions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Understand, evaluate and advise on all relevant regulatory and policy issues to ensure SEFE remains compliant with its licence to operate obligations and coordinate the implementation of new regulations and license requirements.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities for sales activities resulting from regulatory changes in the energy market (horizon scanning, impact analysis); inform internal stakeholders on new requirements, and mitigate risks with clear business impact
- Represent SEFE and its interests in key industry working groups and at a senior level on industry related regulatory bodies to safeguard commercial interests
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and key stakeholders, influencing policy and regulatory changes
- Ensure SEFE Groups long term and strategic interests in gas, power and green products by helping to navigate through regulatory risk and by providing regulatory advice to the business model, scenario planning and strategy development
- Manage reporting requirements, consultation responses, and compliance audits
- Maintain and update standard contracts and terms and conditions. Support in the contractual implementation of new products.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in regulatory affairs, legal compliance, or policy advisory roles, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
- Experience in regulatory risk analysis and horizon scanning, identifying risks and opportunities within regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in advising senior leadership on policy and compliance matters that influence commercial strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to represent the company in external forums and industry groups at a senior level with the ability to influence for successful outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and under pressure.
