As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for the entire IT landscape that enables SEFE's role as an energy supplier in the Netherlands. Our team consists of developers, a product owner, a business analyst and another QA Engineer. You test software systems developed in-house for quotations and contracts, invoicing, message handling, customer contact, reports and customer portals, among other things. You monitor the quality and correct operation of this software.

In addition, you will play an important role in guiding user acceptance tests and providing first-line support to end users. Together with key users, you will coordinate texts and notifications in the user interface and refine the workflow through functional configuration of workflows and emails.

You speak and write Dutch fluently and can also express yourself excellently in English.

This is a freelance role for up to 6 months.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Design, execute, and automate test cases – You create structured test plans and test cases, execute them, and identify problems or defects. You will identify and implement test automation capabilities.
• Quality assurance and control – You ensure that products meet quality standards and are free of defects and you set up effective quality processes.
• Establish and maintain quality standards – You define and monitor quality standards for processes and products, aligned with organizational and customer requirements.
• Analyse and report data – You collect and analyse test data, identify trends and areas for improvement and report them to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development teams – You work closely with developers and other team members to integrate quality goals into the development process.
  
  

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• Knowledge of software development processes and testing tools, including automation frameworks.
• Strong analytical skills: you understand complex systems, dissect problems and find solutions.
• Good communication skills: you can interact effectively with developers, project managers and stakeholders.
• Feeling for the Dutch language.
• Experience in supervising user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Experience documenting test plans, test cases, and defects.
• Experience in the energy market is an advantage.
• Experience with AzureDevOps is a plus.
• Experience with SQL is a plus.
