THE ROLE

Development, documentation and monitoring of IT Project requirements. The Requirements Engineer consults on projects, on the development and documentation of Requirements, and facilitates Workshops and Interviews to drive the Requirements gathering efforts of the projects. Additionally the Requirements Engineer coordinates and implements User Acceptence Tests for projects. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Recording and specifying further development of requirements
• Contact person for users of certain business processes, IT and other stakeholders
• Interface between business and IT for managing IT developments
• Converting user wishes into realisable requirements
• Writing and managing user stories
• Developing and improving the guidelines for requirements engineering
• Supporting larger IT projects through user communication
• Communicating and collaborating with stakeholders (e.g. business units, steering committee, key users)
• Active collaboration with the application owner, business analysts and the IT project engineer
• Organisation and execution of functional and user tests

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Degree in business informatics, computer science or comparable
• Experience in requirements engineering and/or project management
• Affinity for dealing with IT systems and interfaces
• Ability to involve various interest groups
• Knowledge of requirements engineering according to IREB desirable
• Knowledge of testing/test management according to ISTQB desirable
• Strong analytical skills with a willingness to challenge the status quo
• Independent and structured working style
• Excellent communication skills, both business and technical
• Fluent in English and French
