Senior Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst (m/f/d)

IN SHORT

The Senior Business Analyst will sit within the Middle & Back Office team and play a key role in enhancing our Integration & Reporting systems. The focus of the role is translating evolving regulatory requirements—such as EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II, and revised REMIT—into effective processes and system capabilities. This position will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure SEFE remains fully compliant amid upcoming regulatory reforms.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Support onboarding of new products to ensure regulatory alignment across EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II, and other evolving frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Middle Office, Finance, and Compliance to meet regulatory reporting obligations.
  • Lead improvements in trade surveillance, including data mapping, exception management, and workflow design.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear functional specifications for IT delivery.
  • Provide expert third‑line support for MOBO systems with a focus on regulatory data flows and audit integrity.
  • Support UAT and operational readiness for regulatory-driven product and system changes.
  • Ensure strong integration between ETRM and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) to maintain regulatory data consistency.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Qualifications in a numerate, business, or computing-related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II, and trade surveillance obligations.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting workflows and tools (e.g., ARM/TR, ACER, RTS 22/23).
  • Proficiency in Position, Exposure, and P&L reporting for physical and financial products.
  • Hands‑on experience with ETRM and ERP system integrations and regulatory data flows.
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to analyse complex regulatory datasets.
  • Proven experience in regulatory-focused business analysis within energy trading or financial services.
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle processes and their regulatory touchpoints.
  • Experience supporting system testing and UAT for regulatory enhancements.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
