Senior Entity Controller

IN SHORT

Supporting SEFE’s continued growth in commodity and derivatives trading, SM&T’s Accounting function is looking for a highly motivated, analytically minded individual to join its Entity Reporting Team for a fixed term.

The Entity Controller will assume responsibility and accountability for seeing the Group Reporting function through the 2025-year end as well as the S4 Hanna system transition and ensuring BAU reporting work is achieved.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Lead with the production and relevant architecture enhancements and documentation to facilitate monthly entity reporting requirements.
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements for specified legal entities.
  • Review working papers and results of more junior team members within the wider Trade Accounting function.
  • Assist in the ERP system transition for the Group consolidation system and ensuring all user testing is designed and completed
  • Lead with the standardisation and improvement of legal entity control processes for all Trading Legal Entities globally to ensure consistency of reporting.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Qualified Accountant with experience post qualification.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS: business segments, national and international subsidiaries, consolidation, and group reporting.
  • Experience in running a consolidation system for a Group.
  • Experience in User testing during an ERP system transition would be an advantage.
  • Exposure to the accounting and/or controlling function in a large or medium sized multinational business, either in practice or industry.
