Senior Developer

IN SHORT

The Senior Developer position is responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of production services by directly contributing to ongoing development efforts, troubleshooting issues, and performing regular maintenance tasks. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, this role also plays a critical part in setting the future technical direction for how services are delivered and supported. It requires a forward-thinking approach to technology strategy while remaining deeply engaged in the practical implementation and development of services to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

As a technical leader, this role is responsible for guiding the direction of multiple applications, ensuring that engineering efforts adhere to industry standards and best practices. A key part of this responsibility involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions are aligned with organizational goals. Additionally, the role involves coordinating cross-team dependencies and integrations, working alongside Tech Leads and Architects to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

  • Coordinate technical dependencies and integrations across teams, working closely with Tech Leads and Architects.

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for incoming requests and impact assessments from other teams.

  • Champion consistency in architecture and design, supporting the Architecture team in defining and maintaining standards.

  • Ensure rigorous code quality through detailed code reviews and process improvements.

  • Address and manage technical debt as part of ongoing development and maintenance efforts.

  • Contribute to the software development roadmap by helping define long-term patterns, principles, and direction.

  • Adaptable to changing priorities and able to remain focused in fast-paced environments
  • Experienced in complex systems development, particularly under tight deadlines and evolving requirements

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to resolve complex issues independently

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage expectations and communicate clearly under pressure

  • Able to effectively bridge technical and business discussions, ensuring alignment across stakeholders

  • Degree or equivalent experience would be an advantage
