A Senior Business Technology Analyst role combines aspects of business analysis, functional (software configuration) and technical (system architecture) skills. A person in this role should be able to gather business requirements, implement and test changes in the application themselves or create a functional specification for developers, and have solid understanding of the application architecture.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Investigates business situations where there is some complexity and ambiguity. Conducts root cause analysis and identifies recommendations for improvements. Engages and collaborates with operational stakeholders in accounting, controlling, tax and treasury departments.
- Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity, requiring input from FiCo & Treasury IT. Facilitates input from stakeholders, provides constructive challenge and enables effective prioritisation of requirements. Establishes requirements baselines or backlogs, and obtains appropriate agreement to requirements.
- Undertakes complete design of moderately complex software applications or components. Assists as part of a team in the design of components of larger software systems. This work is within the FiCo & Treasury IT portfolio, which includes SAP ERP solutions, FIS, various COTS, and bespoke applications that support the requirements of primarily Accounting, Controlling, Tax, and Treasury business functions. Collaborates in reviews of work with others as appropriate.
- Designs, verifies, documents, amends and refactors moderately complex software configurations for deployment. This work is within the FiCo & Treasury IT portfolio, which includes SAP ERP solutions, FIS, various COTS, and bespoke applications that support the requirements of primarily Accounting, Controlling, Tax, and Treasury
- Manages the delivery of products or services for small to medium-sized initiatives. Follows delivery methodologies, tools, and quality processes. Manages the prioritisation of work items, leads iteration planning processes and ensures value is delivered incrementally throughout the delivery cycle. Communicates delivery progress, risks and issues to stakeholders.
