Lead Developer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Lead Developer with strong technical leadership and hands-on expertise in software engineering.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Delivery Leadership: Partner with project and functional leads to align engineering deliverables with business priorities, ensuring on-time and high-quality outcomes.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, embedding user needs and feedback into solution design and delivery.

  • Technical Direction: Define and lead the technical vision for applications, promoting modern practices, scalable architectures, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaboration & Integration: Coordinate dependencies with other teams, Lead Developers, and Architects to deliver cohesive and future-proof solutions.

  • Engineering Excellence: Ensure architectural consistency and code quality through collaboration with the Architecture team, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.

  • Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor team members, support career growth, and foster a high-performing, inclusive culture.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and resolve technical debt, drive innovation, and contribute to evolving engineering standards and patterns.

  • Technology Roadmaps: Co-create and implement technology roadmaps aligned with departmental strategy and architecture.

  • Software Delivery: Deliver robust, test-driven, object-oriented software solutions using modern methodologies and tools.

  • Team Empowerment: Inspire and motivate the team, setting clear, aligned goals and fostering accountability, learning, and growth.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • Professional certifications are an advantage

  • Proven experience leading development teams, mentoring engineers, and driving high-quality software delivery

  • Strong knowledge of .NET (C#), SQL Server, SSIS/SSAS, T-SQL, and modern web frameworks (React/Angular/TypeScript)

  • Experience with data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake), CI/CD, and DevOps practices

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders

  • Collaborative mindset with a track record of building trust and driving results in dynamic environments

  • Domain knowledge in commodities trading is a plus
