Enterprise & Operational Risk Manager

IN SHORT

The Enterprise & Operational Risk Manager will support the Head of Enterprise & Operational Risk, Trading in leading the risk management efforts for the SEFE Trading business (CCO). This role involves overseeing the identification, assessment, reporting, and mitigation of operational risks, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. The Manager will act as a key liaison between senior management and the operational risk team, fostering a risk-aware culture and promoting continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • "Risk Identification and Assessment: Oversee the proactive identification and assessment of operational risks across the trading business, ensuring comprehensive risk coverage.
  • Risk Reporting and Analysis: Coordinate the preparation and presentation of detailed risk reports, dashboards, and metrics to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key risk areas and recommended actions."                                                               
  • Governance and Oversight: Assist the Head of Enterprise & Operational Risk, Trading in leading risk management presence in governance forums, ensuring thorough oversight and identification of operational risk trends.                                                        
  • Policy and Framework Development: Assist in the development and management of internal risk policies, including the Risk Management Framework, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.                                                          
  • "Incident Management: Support and enhance the Operational Incident Reporting process, conducting root cause analysis and developing recommendations for risk mitigation.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Experience: In operational risk management, with a focus on enterprise risk within the trading or energy sector.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of risk management methodologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Management Skills: Introduction to management, managing change, and ad hoc projects.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies across the organisation.
  • Decision Making: Make high-stakes decisions that impact the entire entity, especially in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environments.
