Confirmations & Regulatory Reporting Analyst

IN SHORT

AS a Confirmations & Regulatory Reporting Analyst you are responsible for accurately and timely confirming physical Power, Gas, Carbon, Green Certificate, Derivatives and FX trades, with external Clients and Brokers, as well as the reporting of these trades to Dodd Frank, EMIR, REMIT, MiFID, MAS and ACER LNG Regulators

WHAT WILL YOU DO

As a Confirmations & Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for checking of standard, bespoke and structured trade confirmations received from counterparties including issuing and receipt of timely confirmations and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepencies. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all reportable trades are uploaded to the relevant repositories to meet our porting requirements. You will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all trades are captured and booked correctly in ETRMs
  • Checking trades are executed
  • Ensuring trades feed electronic matching platforms and that trades are accurately matched with Brokers and Counterparties by T+1 and sending out paper confirmations where we do not electronically match with. 
  • Complete Excel based reconciliations of internal and external Counterparty transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve issues where trades have failed to be automatically reported.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure all non-standard trades can be accurately reported to the Regulators.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports and relevant commentary to Management.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

Your previous experience of working in a Confirmations and /or Regulatory Reporting Team in an Energy Trading or Bank environment is key to success. Experience of working with Trading Counterparties/Brokers and direct contact with Trading desks is highly desired. You will also bring; 

  • Knowledge of confirmations 
  • Experience in the checking / drafting of bespoke and structured confirmations preferred.
  • Knowledge of the regulations EMIR, REMIT, Dodd Frank, MiFID, MAS and ACER LNG and experience of regulatory reporting processes
  • Experience of using an electronic matching platform, preferably Equias.
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
