IN SHORT
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join our LNG Modernisation programme. In this role, you’ll work closely with traders, business analysts, and senior stakeholders to map processes, analyse data, and help modernise systems across the LNG value chain.
This is a great opportunity to build your expertise as a Business Analyst in LNG trading domain and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You’ll contribute to projects that improve decision-making, streamline operations, and drive efficiency across the LNG desk.
We’re after someone curious, analytical, and motivated — with strong communication skills, an interest in energy markets, and a drive to learn and grow.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of technology-enabled business change initiatives designed to modernise the LNG IT estate. Working collaboratively across teams, you will help ensure that new systems and processes are implemented effectively to drive efficiency and innovation.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the LNG business working group, software development team, and business analyst colleagues to assist in delivering both tactical and strategic developments under guidance. You’ll also provide support for small business change activities and Business-as-Usual (BAU) tasks, contributing directly to the success of the LNG Modernisation project and its wider transformation objectives.
- Work with key business stakeholders to understand processes, capture business needs, document requirements, and support the development of specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Help ensure all business change is clearly defined, prioritised, and supported with well-documented requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with the engineering team and business teams to support QA, and UAT activities, ensuring new features meet business expectations.
- Maintain and update user guides, wikis, and documentation to ensure business readiness and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously assess product performance and identify opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- Some prior experience or strong interest in Business Analysis, ideally within energy, commodities, or financial trading environments.
- Keen interest in developing knowledge of the LNG deal lifecycle and understanding the domain knowledge of LNG trading.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- A self-motivated learner with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team as a supportive team player.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine enthusiasm for contributing to business and technology transformation.
- Dependable, diligent, and committed to producing high-quality work with integrity.
