IN SHORT
Based within the SM&T London Office, the BA will work within the Middle & Office Back Office (Derivatives), reporting into the Senior BA.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
In this role you will develope a solid understanding of the vertical domain, including the specific business functions and the IT systems that are managed within it. The Business Analyst will support the Lead BA in the prioritisation process, providing regular daily updates on the status of change to ensure visibility and progress tracking. Additionally, the role requires gathering and clearly capturing business requirements in the form of EPICs and Product Backlog Items (PBIs), making sure these are accurately organised and maintained on the vertical board.
- Attending and contrbuting to workshops, requirements gathering sessions.
- Capturing business processes (BPMN) using business modelling tools and techniques
- Assist Senior and Lead BA in their analysis in gathering, validating and documenting requirements, across all change (BAU / OPREAD)
- Assist in BA practice intitiatives, incuding Junior members of the BA team
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Proven track record in applying Business Analysis techniques to solve problems.
- Experience of documenting as-is and to-be business processes.
- Experience managing complex and sometimes competing stakeholder demand.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to negotiate with stakeholders.
- Demonstrate credibility with working with business colleagues including the ability to provide appropriate challenge and review to requirements.
- Performing system/integration testing and supporting business users with user acceptance testing.
- Functional Specification and configuration of commercial software packages as well as functional specification of custom developed software.
