Senior Business Analyst

IN SHORT

 

At our Kassel location, we will soon be looking for a Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d) who helps shape central processes and applications at the interface between B2B retail and trading – with a focus on planning, forecasting & pricing. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Designing and optimizing processes: In workshops with sales, trading, finance, and operations, you bring teams together, document the current state, and jointly develop the target processes.
  • Translating and documenting requirements: From business needs, you formulate structured requirements and clear acceptance criteria – always keeping scope, risks, and decisions in mind.
  • Meaningfully linking systems: You identify integration points between retail and trading platforms early on and ensure that non-functional requirements are also considered.
  • Ensuring data quality: You take responsibility for ownership, quality, and origin when defining important data objects – additionally, you support test design, UAT, and cutover.
  • Ensuring documentation and handover: With clean documentation and a clear handover, you ensure that operations can take over smoothly. 

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Profound understanding of B2B retail processes, especially: 
    • Pricing & contracting 
    • Forecasting, nominations 
    • Validations, confirmations, and settlements 
    • Interfaces to finance, accounting, and reporting 
  • Basic knowledge of the entire deal lifecycle in energy or commodity trading
  • Ability to structure complex topics and present them clearly (e.g., process representations, requirements, decision bases)
  • Experience in moderating workshops and coordinating with various stakeholders
  • Familiarity with agile working methods, backlog maintenance, and common modeling techniques
  • Ideally, industry knowledge in regulated markets such as energy, commodities, or comparable complex environments
