At our Kassel location, we will soon be looking for an Application Support Engineer to support applications in the areas of Planning, Forecasting & Pricing.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

• Ensuring stable operation and ongoing development of applications in the areas of Planning, Forecasting & Pricing

• Independent management of incidents, problems, and changes

• Execution of updates, patches, and release management

• Monitoring of systems and interfaces, ensuring compliance with IT security and regulatory requirements

• Close collaboration with key users, business analysts, and product owners to clarify and implement requirements

• Support in IT planning, cost monitoring, and contract management

• Execution of testing activities within maintenance tasks and project contexts

• Contribution to the design of technical solutions and project support (e.g. harmonization and modernization of the IT landscape)

• Continuous optimization of processes and workflows

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

• Completed degree in (Business) Informatics or a comparable qualification

• relevant experience in Application Support or Application Management

• Experience in operating and further developing applications, ideally in a regulated environment

• Knowledge of Incident / Problem / Change Management (ITIL) and Test Management

• Technical expertise in Windows and/or Linux server environments and common application servers (e.g. Tomcat, Wildfly, IIS)

• Basic understanding of cloud architecture and SaaS/PaaS

• Knowledge of interface and integration technologies

• Ideally, basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java, C#)

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken

• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style, along with a strong willingness to take ownership of assigned applications

• Strong teamwork and communication skills
