As an M&A Expert (m/f/d), you lead the full execution of M&A transactions, managing projects end-to-end—from planning and coordination to quality assurance. You oversee due diligence, perform company valuations, and structure deals, including contract negotiation with legal support. You act as the key contact for external advisors and report directly to senior leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes, ensuring effective risk management throughout the process.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
- Expert on the M&A team: You take responsibility for the entire execution of M&A transactions
- Project management: You plan, manage and control M&A projects, including budgeting, scheduling and quality assurance. You manage and are the contact person for external advisors, investment banks and due diligence teams
- Due diligence and analysis: You lead and conduct due diligence reviews and analyze financial, legal and operational aspects of potential transactions
- Company valuation: You lead detailed company valuations and support your team in carrying out these valuations
- Contract negotiation and structuring: You prepare negotiations, conduct and structure transactions, including drafting M&A contracts and coordinating with the legal department
- Risk management: You identify, assess and manage risks in connection with M&A transactions
- Reporting: You report regularly to the EVP M&A and the Management Board on the progress of projects, risks and prospects
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
- University degree in economics, finance, business administration, law or equivalent
- Longterm experience in the M&A sector in leading roles, e.g. investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, management consulting
- Experience in managing and executing M&A transactions, including due diligence, company valuation, contract negotiations and integration
- Experience in working with executives and external advisors
- Experience in due diligence and risk management
- Negotiation skills and the ability to structure and lead complex transactions
- Very good communication and analytical skills
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
